On Site Rates:

Regardless of what you need me to take care of, my rate is up front... no surprises.

Service Call:

• $50 for the service call. This includes the first hour of dignosis and labor. The hour starts when I arrive.

Diagnosis & Repair:

• $36/ hour after the first hour, prorated in 15 minute increments ($9 for 15 minutes)

That's it. If it takes me 1 hour and 35 minutes, the charge is $68.

Once I have diagnosed the problem, I will provide an estimate for the amount of time it will require to fix and what your total cost should be. (In many cases, the amount of time required is dependant on the speed of your computer and your internet connection.)

Shop Rates:

• $28 / hour, prorated in 15 minute increments ($7 for 15 minutes) for all diagnosis and repair.

  • I will keep an accurate accounting of the time I spend physically working on your computer, along with a list of the services I performed.

• Optional - $25 Pick up / return fee. I will come to your home or business, disconnect the troublesome components and bring them back to my shop. Once they are repaired, I will return them, hook them back up. If you bring the items to my shop, this fee does not apply.

To be honest, a few things take quite a bit of time and are not really practical to do in your home. Reinstalling your entire operating system (Windows) and wide-scale hardware upgrades are good examples. For those tasks, I can do a better job if I take your computer home to my shop. You won't have me sitting in your house for several hours, and I will have the facilities to do the job right. In addition, my Shop Rates are lower than my On Site Rates

Hardware and Software Costs:

Obviously, the cost of any parts or software that would be used are in addition to these rates.

• I have no interest in gouging you on the pricing of these things. I will basically charge you what it costs me to get the parts in my hands. No absurd $15 charges for a cable that cost $2.
